Refrigerators for the Maranatha House - Kari, Clayton and Eva
2017 Kari Clayton and Eva went to Haiti last June. They fell in love with the people and culture. After being home now for a few months, they wanted to do more to help the people who touched their heart. The group raised $3220 to provide two refrigerators for the Maranatha House. Now the children can have nutritious meal and snacks. |
Classroom Supplies for Casa Sana - Nicole - 2017
Nicole visited Peru in the summer of 2016, she fell in love with Casa Sana and culture. After the area was hit with flooding earlier in the year, Nicole wanted to help. She raised $1063 to replace damaged classroom supplies needed to teach the Casa Sana kids. Now the kids can get back to learning and growing. |
Unified Benefit Concert - Bianca 2017
Bianca raised $795 for Compassion First's flagship operation in the Nation of Indonesia. Bianca held a Benefit Concert using her Youth Group Band helping to pull it all together. It was a successful evening bringing people together to support a worthy cause. |
Walking for CMTA - Graceon
2017 Graceon held a Walk-A-Thon for CMT - which is a hereditary nerve disorder he is afflicted with. This is his third year hosting this event and he raised $1446! This year Graceon visited local business to ask for sponsorships/donations and interviewed by the local radio station. Way to go Graceon! |
Hoops for Haiti
Carlson & Badie Families 2017 Friends, Kylie, Cole, Kelsey and Elise used their love of basketball to creatively raise $130 toward the purchase of clean water filters for families in Haiti. These will go far to help relieve the threat of disease from dirty water. |
Clean Water for Children
Ali, Brandt, Kyle & Widelene 2017 Our first ever, Peer-to-Peer project connected Haitian teen - Widelene with students from Tigard High School, Ali, Brandt and Kyle to provide clean water filters for Haitain families. Widelene participated in this by spending 12 hours cleaning up the streets in her village. The three Tigard students found partners to pledge for the hours that Widelene spent cleaning up her community. Together, they raised over $1700! |
Cool Water for Haiti
Meaghan Giard 2017 Meaghan went to Haiti last spring. She fell in love with the people and culture. After being home now for a few months, she wants to do more to help the people who touched her heart. In response to the October 2016 hurricane, she was able to raise $449 to provide water filters to help reduce the spread of cholera. |
Kids for Electricity
Middle School Boys from Valor Christian School International 2017 Mekiah, Olin, Mike, Joseph, Jonah, Isaac, Seth and Makai were very successful in helping to bring electricity to the Maranatha House Children's Home. Together they raised $1251 for gasoline for a generator and to be used toward the purchase of a solar panel system. |
Clean Water Filters for the Philippines
Blake & Blake 2017 Blake Lambert and Blake Johnson partnered together with The Other Side of Basketball to raise nearly $1900 to provide clean water filters for families in the Philippines. Not only do families receive filters, but these funds will provide wages for those who install and maintain these filters. |
Electricity for Haiti Middle School Girls from Valor Christian School International 2017 Ellie, Grace, Amiya, Kaitlyn, Noelani and Allie believe they can impact a community of children through electricity. Through various means of fundraising, this crew raised $1153 for gasoline for a generator and to be used toward the purchase of a solar panel system. |
Hope for Haiti
Middle School Girls from Valor Christian School International 2017 Sidni, Kaylee, Violet, Kali and Laci are middle schoolers at Valor Christian School International who banded together to raise $696 for electricity at a Children's Home in Haiti. They felt strongly about this issue because it would allow students the ability to continue to do homework, or play safely after the sun went down. |
